About me and the treatment room in Herne Bay
I am a reflexologist based in Herne Bay,(near Whitstable and Canterbury) on the Kent coast.
My treatment room is situated in my home in Herne Bay. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing - however you may feel when you arrive, I hope you will find that, for a short while at least, you can set aside the stress of daily life.
My aim is to treat all clients as individuals. Your first treatment will include a free consultation which will give you time to talk about your individual needs and what you are hoping to achieve from your treatment, whether you have specific concerns or simply want to relax.
Therapies available at the treatment room include Reflexology, and foot and hand massage. Please see below for further details.
I have ITEC diplomas in massage and reflexology I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Whether you have specific health concerns, feel in need of pampering or are simply curious about reflexology and would like to give it a try, there will be a package that suits your individual needs.

Reflexology is based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which are believed to correspond to all organs and parts of the body. Reflexology works on an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms often associated with everyday stress, tension and anxiety.
Reflexology can be a wonderfully relaxing experience where you can take time out from everyday pressures, and which can help improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension. The result is an overall sense of wellbeing.
A reflexologist will aim to help bring about the same sensations of relaxation and well-being that a full body massage can produce. It is therefore a useful treatment during times of stress or when, for any reason, massage is not practical.
Treatment takes place with you sitting either in a semi-reclined position on a professional reflexology chair, or on a massage couch. You will need to remove only your shoes and socks. Your feet will be gently cleaned (this feels both soothing and refreshing!). Treatment starts with an assessment of each foot, followed by a calming foot massage to relax and prepare you for the treatment.
The treatment itself takes between 30 minutes - 1 hour. I work on each foot in turn, applying pressure to the feet using small, firm movements with my thumbs or fingers.
Treatment finishes with a relaxing foot massage.
